If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got. – Ford
Project manager; what a great job!
Each project has its own discoveries and opportunities for improvement – for the project manager and for all those working with them.
Provided we take the time to try new approaches, we can all discover new styles and learn a bit more about ourselves.
At the start of this new year, I recommend regularly taking time to think about your projects – whether these be personal or professional – and asking yourself these questions:
In what situations do I perform best?
We all have our own unique talents that just need to be developed. Your natural talents are likely to shine through in situations where you feel comfortable.
How can I find myself in this favourable situation more often?
The goal here is to improve even more by making the most of your natural talents.
Do I take the time to refresh my skills?
Your talents can be developed in the right situations – try to nurture them regularly.
How can I make time for my own development?
Set aside time for yourself, make it a priority!
What should I aim for this year?
Describe where you want to be at the end of this year in a complete sentence. Write it down somewhere you’ll come back to a few times during the year.
I wish you all an excellent 2019!
What about you ? Do you have similar or different experiences? Let me know, I'll be happy to discuss it with you!
